XIRA is still a live legaltech product, but it only fits this batch with a narrow solo and small-firm framing. The current public materials show a combined lawyer marketplace and lightweight practice-management stack: XIRA’s Gavel page, member pricing page, and LawNext coverage all describe online scheduling, secure video, client and case management, billing, payments, document storage, and client acquisition through XIRA’s marketplace. The old file’s strongest claim, that this is simply free integrated practice management, is now too simplistic. The live member site still advertises a complimentary tier, but it also lists paid Primary User and Additional User plans, while LawNext documented a different public fee structure in 2023, so buyers should assume pricing and packaging have changed over time and verify current terms directly. The larger caution is trust and traction. Independent practitioner signal is extremely thin, LinkedIn presence is low, public security detail relies mostly on dated privacy-policy language plus vague claims such as ‘DOD level security,’ and I found no public SOC 2 or SSO evidence. For a solo or small firm that wants one vendor spanning listing, booking, video consults, billing, and basic matter management, XIRA is more substantial than the stale draft suggested, but it still looks fringe compared with incumbent practice-management vendors.

Where it fits in your workflow

Before Xira

A solo or small-firm lawyer wants prospective clients to find them online, book a consultation directly into an available slot, and move that engagement into a basic firm system without stitching together separate intake, calendar, video, billing, and document tools.

After Xira

The client searches and books through XIRA, the consultation happens through XIRA's scheduling and video workflow, and the matter moves into client or case management, billing, payments, messaging, and document storage inside the same environment.

Integrations & hand-offs

Prospect discovers lawyer through XIRA marketplace -> books an available consultation slot tied to the lawyer's calendar -> consultation and messaging happen through XIRA's workflow -> client and matter information continue into billing, document vault, payments, and lightweight case management.
