How the indexes are built

One pass over the monthly history computes a rank for every vendor under each index's basis — the canonical rlegaltech score (rlegaltech 100/500 and the workflow indexes), the Hype Index (attention vs. a size baseline) or the Churn Index (users searching for alternatives) — then derives the month-on-month and year-on-year rank changes and the movers. Because it all comes from the same pass, the indexes, deltas and movers can't disagree. More on methodology.
