Abstract

What it is

What It Does

Abstract (abstract.us) is an AI platform for tracking government policy and regulation. It pulls legislative and regulatory data from a large number of government bodies along with news and social signals, and surfaces what’s changing so that corporate teams can assess impact. The company positions it for legal, compliance, finance, product and HR teams that need to monitor proposed and existing regulation rather than as a contract or litigation tool.

What We Found

Abstract was founded in 2019 out of a university thesis project. In October 2025 the company announced a $4.8M raise to expand the platform. It reports having worked with more than 200 organisations. Note that several unrelated companies use the “Abstract” name, including a Sketch/design version-control product (acquired by Adobe) and a security platform — this entry is specifically the regulatory-intelligence company at abstract.us.

What We Haven’t Verified

  • Headcount and current pricing — not published.
  • The “more than 200 organisations” figure is the vendor’s own claim.
  • Earlier crawl data attached a LinkedIn follower count of 23,383, which appears to have been conflated with the unrelated Adobe-acquired design company. The handle linkedin.com/company/abstract-us resolves to the regulatory company with roughly 900 followers as of mid-2026; the inflated figure has been corrected.
