What It Does

TimeSolv is a cloud-based time-tracking and billing platform for law firms and other professional-services firms. It records billable hours, generates invoices, handles trust accounting, and processes payments through a built-in option called TimeSolvPay (credit card and ACH). The product supports several legal billing formats, including ABA task codes, UTBMS, and LEDES, and offers two-way sync with QuickBooks. A desktop companion app, TimeSync, lets users capture time offline. TimeSolv is part of ProfitSolv, a group of professional-services software products formed in 2020 when Lightyear Capital acquired the company.

TimeSolv was founded in 1999 and is based in Knoxville, Tennessee. It now operates under the ProfitSolv umbrella alongside other professional-services tools. Vendor and review-site material describes hourly, flat-fee, contingency, retainer, and installment billing, plus built-in reporting. Lawyerist and several software-review directories carry reviews of the product.
