What It Does

CalendarRules is a rules-based court calendaring engine. It maintains a library of court rules across US states and jurisdictions and uses them to calculate litigation deadlines automatically from a triggering event, reducing the risk of missed dates. Clio acquired CalendarRules in 2021, and the engine now powers Clio’s Court Rules feature. The technology is also licensed to third-party docketing products, including BEC Legal’s Docket Enterprise and DocketCalendar.

What We Found

CalendarRules is no longer a standalone product. Since the 2021 Clio acquisition, the engine has been folded into Clio’s Court Rules feature, which covers a library of court rules across 50 US states and thousands of jurisdictions, plus several Canadian courts (Federal Court, BC Supreme Court, Ontario Court of Justice). The CalendarRules name persists primarily as the licensing brand for the underlying rules engine that feeds other docketing platforms. The deep integration list on this page reflects case management and docketing tools that consume CalendarRules data.
