The platform handles document permissions, redaction, activity tracking, and Q&A workflows between deal parties. It is a general-purpose deal/transaction VDR rather than a law-firm-specific tool; corporate legal teams, investment bankers, and corporate development groups are the primary users, with law firms as one buyer among several.

iDeals was founded in 2008 by Evgeny Sergeev, with Ukrainian origins, and now operates globally with offices across several regions. The product is widely reviewed on data-room comparison sites; it competes with Datasite, Intralinks, Ansarada, and similar VDR providers.

Who It’s For

The clearest fit is corporate/M&A and in-house legal teams managing diligence on the buy or sell side, and the outside counsel supporting those deals. It is not a practice-management or matter-management tool, so solo and small-firm general practitioners running day-to-day caseloads are unlikely to need it.
