What It Does
Lexprompt is a document-drafting tool for lawyers that works inside Microsoft Word. As a lawyer drafts, “Lexprompt WRITE” surfaces relevant blocks of text from documents in selected folders in a side panel; clicking through opens the source document and highlights where the text came from. References used in a draft are embedded in the new Word document, so reopening it later shows the same references. It integrates with NetDocuments for document access.
What We Found
Lexprompt is a Salt Lake City-based startup, first profiled by Legal IT Insider in 2016. At that time it was self-funded with no external investors, and had run a pilot with the law firm Dorsey & Whitney, with stated interest from other large NetDocuments-using firms.
