What it is

What It Does

TimeSentry is an AI time-tracking tool that sits on top of a professional’s existing tools and tries to capture billable time automatically, rather than relying on timers or manual entry. It watches the work already happening, infers the tasks completed, and creates time entries from them, then pushes those into timesheets, invoices and reports. It is aimed at billing-by-the-hour professionals — including lawyers and accountants — and integrates with Clio Manage, MyCase, QuickBooks, Microsoft 365 and others.

Who It’s For

Solo / Small Firm
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Workflow fit: Billing / time tracking — auto-captures billable minutes and
syncs them into Clio, MyCase or similar instead of manual entry.
Strengths: Native Clio Manage integration; no timers to start/stop.
Gaps: New (2023) — limited independent reviews to assess accuracy claims.

What We Found

TimeSentry was founded in 2023 by a founder with a statistician/researcher background. It markets directly against other automated time-tracking tools (Billables AI, Timely, Laurel) and offers a Clio-specific landing page. Pricing is published from around $425/year per seat with a 7-day free trial — relatively transparent for this category. We have not found substantial independent practitioner reviews yet, which is unsurprising given how recent the company is.
